No Kidding Shakespeare Camp Registration

About the Application 

Admission to the No Kidding Shakespeare Camp is on first come, first serve basis. Please fill out the form completely and carefully before submitting. 

As of June 1st, 2023, our residency package is no longer available.  Registration is still open until July 10th, 2023.  Participants interested in the residency experience can still register under the Day Camp rate, but will be responsible for finding and securing their own accommodations.  If you have questions, please reach out to us directly at education@americanshakespearecenter.com

Terms of Registration

Violation of the following No Kidding Shakespeare Camp policies by an attendee will result in disciplinary action and may lead to immediate dismissal from the intensive program without a refund.

The following NKSC safety rules are in effect.  Failure to abide by these rules will result in disciplinary action and may result in removal from the intensive.

  1. The use of alcohol, drugs, or tobacco during NKSC hours is strictly prohibited.
  2. Theft and/or willfull or negligent destruction of property is strictly prohibited.
  3. All ASC Camps are a place of radical acceptance. Everyone is welcome, but harassment is not. Harassment is any unwelcome conduct that unreasonably interferes with an individual's work performance or creates an intimidating, hostile, or offensive work environment. Examples of harassing conduct include: offensive jokes, slurs, epithets or name calling, physical assaults or threats, intimidation, ridicule or mockery, insults or put-downs, offensive objects or pictures, and interference with work performance. Harassment includes but is not limited to:
    1. Sexual harassment and harassment based on gender or gender identity.
    2. Racial or ethnic harassment.
    3. LGBTQ+ harassment.
    4. Harassment based on age, disability, marital status, heritage, personal appearance, family responsibilities, national origin, religious beliefs, or political affiliation.
I, the applicant, will abide by all No Kidding Shakespeare Camp policies and understand that willful disregard will result in disciplinary action and may result in being dismissed from the program without a refund.*

Photography and videography of camp activities may occur in any location outside of hotel rooms by an approved ASC Staff members.  I understand I may be photographed or filmed while attending the No Kidding Shakespeare Camp and that the American Shakespeare Center reserves the right to use these photos and videos for  promotional and educational purposes. I grant permission for the use  of any camp photos or videos in scholarly works, digital projects, and other educational tools created by the American Shakespeare Center or its partnering organizations.

If at any time I am uncomfortable having my photo or video taken, I may ask to be excluded from select photography or videography. 

I understand that agreement to the above means that I may be filmed or have photos taken of me for use in marketing and social media materials.*

Tuition Payment

Non-Refundable $150 deposit is required at registration. All tuition balance must be paid at least two weeks prior to session start (July 10, 2023).

Day Camp participants are responsible for tuition only.  The cost for Day Camp is $1,300.00, which covers instruction and show tickets.

Residency participants are responsible for tuition, and room and board.  The cost for Residency is $2,200.00, which covers instruction, show tickets, and room and board at Hotel 24 South.  As of June 1, Residency packages are no longer available.  Participants interested in Residency can still register at the Day Camp rate, but must secure their own accommodations.

ASC Refund Policy (as of JANUARY, 2022)

The initial deposit of $150 is non-refundable. If a participant withdraws more  than 60 days from the start of camp, everything except that deposit is  refundable. If a participant withdraws 60 days before the start of camp, 50%  of tuition paid in will be refunded. If a participant withdraws 30 or fewer days before the start of camp, the ASC will not be able to provide a  refund.

I understand that:

  • My registration has not been processed until I receive an acceptance notification email from the ASC.
  • In the case of high attendance, I may be placed on a waitlist.  I will be informed of any waitlist and may choose to remain on it or rescind my registration.
  • In the case where my registration is not accepted, I will receive a refund of any tuition paid.  Refunds are handled following the refund policy otherwise.
  • Tuition must be paid in full no later than two weeks prior to the intenssive in order for me to claim my spot at the 2023 No Kidding Summer Camp.
